In 2015, while working full-time in healthcare and recruitment, I started writing professionally as a side gig. While building my portfolio, I wrote blog posts as a ghostwriter for various businesses. Over time, I started writing for websites that more closely matched my interests and gave me a byline to credit my work.
Today, I am the Deputy Editor for Pregnancy & Newborn (part-time), a freelance writer for Dotdash Meredith, and a regular contributing writer for The Bump. Prior to this, I was a staff writer for Romper and a regular contributing writer for Verywell Family, The Mom Project, and Femestella. My work has also appeared on websites including Inspire More, Mabel + Moxie, and more.
My areas of expertise include essays, health and wellness features, expert-interviewed articles, news and advocacy, commerce round-ups, and product reviews. As a writer, I tend to gravitate towards websites that align with my personal interests and passions such as parenting, wellness, feminism, mental health advocacy, self-care, and human rights.
Outside of work, I am a mom to two girls and a wife to a public school administrator. In what little spare time I get, I enjoy reading, attending barre classes, catching up on my favorite podcasts, watching cheesy sitcoms, and filling, then abandoning online shopping carts.
